한여름날의 보름달/배 중진
가끔은 아무 생각 없이 다닐 때도 있지요
뜨거운 여름 날씨만큼이나 후줄근도 하기에
몸 하나 지탱하기도 버거울 때가 있습니다
외식을 하고 들어오는 저녁
우리 마을에 보름달이 떠 있더군요
처음에는 약간 붓칠한듯하여 아쉬웠는데
그런 생각도 잠시
붉고 똥그란 달이 깜찍한 모습이었습니다
닿을 듯 말듯 건물 사이에서 꿈이 둥실거려
실 끈으로 잡아당겨 품에 안아 보려고 했지만
역시나 희망 사항이었습니다
있다가도 사라지고
없다가도 나타나는 달과 나의 꿈
언젠가는 꼭 이뤄지리
희망이 행복되어 나타나리

1837: Euston station opens in London
The London and Birmingham Railway opens its terminus in London called the Euston station.
It was the first railway station in London that connected it with another city.

1919: Sir Edmund Hillary is born
Sir Edmund Hillary, the mountaineer and explorer from New Zealand is born on this day.
He was known for being the first person to successfully ascend the Mount Everest in 1953.

1923: Pancho Villa assassinated
Mexican revolutionary leader Pancho Villa is shot and killed by seven gunmen while visiting the
City of Parral in Chihuahua, Mexico. 40 rounds were fired at him and it is said that he died instantly.

1942: WACs begin basic training
The first detachment of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, later known as WACs,
begins basic training at Fort Des Moines, Iowa. The WAC was disbanded in 1978
and all its existing units were integrated with the male units.

1944: Assassination attempt on Hitler
The sixth and final attempt on assassination Hitler’s life occurs inside his “Wolf’s Lair” headquarters
in Prussia. It was led by a high-ranking German officer, Claus von Stauffenberg, who placed a briefcase
bomb under a table during a war conference. The bomb killed four men but Hitler survived with minor injuries.

1948: Republic of Korea elects its first President
Syngman Rhee, the leader of the Korean independence movement, is elected as the first president
of the Republic of Korea. He assumed office 4 days later. His tenure lasted for almost 12 years
which made him the longest serving President of South Korea.

1951: King of Jordan assassinated
King Abdullah of Jordan is assassinated by a Palestinian nationalist while entering the Al-Aqsa mosque
in the Old City of Jerusalem. The killer was identified as an Arab ex-member of a military force and
was shot dead in the aftermath. The king’s son, Talal bin Abdullah, was crowned king but was declared
unfit to rule and forced to abdicate in 1952. He was succeeded by his son, Hussein.

1969: First manned moon landing
NASA's Apollo 11 creates history when astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin land a lunar module
on the moon four days after its launch. Armstrong becomes the first human to set foot on the moon,
making the now-famous remark, "That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

1973: Bruce Lee dies
Shortly before the release of his film 'Enter the Dragon', Lee dies at a friend's home in Hong Kong.
While some people claim he was murdered, the official cause of death was a brain edema caused
by an allergic reaction to a prescription painkiller he was reportedly taking for a back injury.
The martial artist-actor was 32.

1976: First unmanned spacecraft lands on Mars
Seven years after the lunar landing, NASA's Viking 1 planetary probe becomes the first unmanned
mission to land on Mars. Launched in August 1975, Viking 1 touched down in the Chryse Planitia
region and began sending back photographs of the red planet.

1977: Johnstown disaster
The city of Johnstown in Pennsylvania is hit by a massive flash flood which resulted in deaths of
over 80 people and damaged property worth $350 million. This was the second time in nearly four
decades that Johnstown had experienced such a disastrous flood.

1984: A serial-killer couple is apprehended
The infamous serial-killer couple of Alton Coleman and Debra Brown are arrested in Illinois after
a vicious two-month crime spree. In this period they claimed eight lives and injured many more.
보름달을 잠시 보았는데 그때뿐이었고 또다시 무관심으로 빠져들어 가 어디에 있는지도 모른답니다.
부풀어 오를 때는 희망이 차오르는 느낌이었는데 아쉽기만 하지만 어느 순간 또다시 만나게 될 것을

태풍이 지나가더니
어제와 오늘이 확연히 달라졌습니다
아마도 입추가 내일이라 그럴까요
시기적으로 이른 것 같은데 벌써 24절기중
가을의 시작을 알리는 입추
요즘은 날씨의 흐름을 가늠 할 수 없지만요
어제는 숨이 막힐 듯 했는데..
오늘은 비가 새벽녁에 조금 내렸는데도
습도가 높은 것을 모르고
바람이 솔솔불어 에어컨이 쉬고있습니다, ㅎ~
그래도 더위가 남아있으니 건강에 유의하시길요,
한여름 밤에 보름달은 정말 아름답습니다
소나무에 걸쳐진 둥근달은
낭만적이기도 하지만요
순수한 마음으로 실끈을 묶어
가슴 안으로 잡아 당겨
안고싶은 마음은 있어요,ㅎ~
아름답고 따뜻한 마음으로 잘 읽으면서
뿌듯한 마음으로 웃음을 지어보이며
시원한 바람이 절기를 아는지.. 모르는지..
궁금해지는 저녁입니다,고맙습니다.
매미에게도 우린 인간세계와 같은 복잡함이 있을까 생각해봤답니다.
때가 되면 나오고 구애하고 열심히 시원한 소리로 목청을 돋우다가
자연스레 사라지는 그들에 비해 많은 사건으로 얼룩진 나날을 맞이하면서
살아가는 것이 신기하다는 평이지요. 운이 좋아야 하고 주위에서 참혹한
사건이 일어나지 않았으면 하지만 별, 이상한 사람들이 튀어나와
세상을 엉망으로 만드네요. 먹고 살기 위해 불철주야로 달릴 때는 몰랐는데
매우 한가한 요즈음 모든 이들의 안위가 염려되는 세상이 되었으니
한스러울 지경이네요. 평화가 모두에게 있었으면 바람이랍니다.
