말은 많이 들었는데 가까운 거리에서 살펴보기는 처음이다. 불행하게도 햇빛이 사라지고 빗방울이 떨어지기 시작하여 그냥 갈까 하다가 그래도 한번 주위를 돌아보자는 심산으로 차에서 내려 쌀쌀한 바람이 불어도 대충 돌았는데 생각보다 건물이 아름다웠고 그 유명한 Chagall and Matisse Glass는 볼 수 없어 안타까웠다. 나중에 다시 정상화되면 오리라 굳게 다짐하고 돌아서려는 찰나 종소리가 울려 퍼져 깜짝 놀랐다. 숨죽이고 있는데 느닷없이 때리니 내가 잘못하여 경보가 울리는 줄 알았다. 허탕 치고 돌아서는 사람들은 우리뿐만이 아니었다. 마스크를 하지 않은 사람들도 많이 보이고 야외활동이 활발하다. 원래는 허드슨강가를 거닐려고 마음먹고 주차장까지 갔는데 차를 댈만한 공간이 보이지 않아 지레 겁먹고 인간..
